I SOWN nascono nel 2002, dall'unione di sei ragazzi accomunati da una autentica passione per il metal del nuovo millennio, in una inusuale formazione con due cantanti dalla carismatica presenza scenica, Angelo “Angel” Rissini e Nicola “Bonny Boy” Boni. Dopo un primo demo registrato nel 2004 intitolato "Unforeseen events", un passo molto importante per la crescita della band, che li ha portati sugli stage dei più importanti locali metal italiani (Rainbow Club, Transilvania Live, Sottosopra, Keller ) ed anche europei, come nel caso del Mochvara Festival di Zagabria, si trovano ora alla seconda tappa della storia con "Downside", il loro primo album ufficiale. Un grande album per tutti gli amanti del metalcore e per chiunque ami la moderna evoluzione del metal. Disponibile da settembre 2006 per Fuel Records, la coraggiosa label che da tempo porta alla luce i più genuini prodotti dell'underground italiano come Dark Lunacy ed Infernal Poetry e distribuito da SELF con il prezioso supporto di ANDROMEDA nota per avere in catalogo autentici gioiellini del metal mondiale. - Cinquanta minuti di violenza ragionata -, con questa frase viene definito, a ragione , ogni loro concerto. I recensori li hanno accostati a band come Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, DevilDriver, Ignite, ma anche agli ormai classici Ektomorf, Earthtone9, Mudvayne...questi pareri contrastanti denotano un'interessante ecletticità da scoprire nei SOWN di Downside. Tra i pezzi più devastanti segnaliamo: Sweet smiling stars, Seven ed ancora Crawling at the bottom ed Hoggish. Inoltre, Incluso nel disco anche un sentito tributo a Dimebag Darrell eletto loro “nume tutelare” con Suicide Note PT.1 da lui composto.

SOWN were born in the 2002, following union of six guys joint by an authentic new millenium metal style passion, a team characterized by two charismatic vocalists, Angelo “Angel” Rissini and Nicola “Bonny Boy” Boni.
